At the Bloomberg Africa Business Summit 2025 in Johannesburg, Jeremy Awori, our Group CEO, joined H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of the AfCFTA Secretariat, for a high-level discussion on Africa’s economic growth, access to capital and financial stability in a challenging global environment.

The conversation explored how African banks, development finance institutions and regional trade frameworks such as the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) can support sustainable development, infrastructure financing and SME growth across the continent.

Key themes included mobilising domestic capital, improving cross-border payments, strengthening investor confidence and leveraging financial innovation to unlock Africa’s long-term potential.
