Ecobank Day 2025: Enabling Inclusive Learning for All

Ecobank Day 2025 brought together Ecobankers across Africa to promote inclusive learning for all through technology. This focus reflected Ecobank’s belief that technology can be an enabler of learning and teaching so that every child should have the support needed to learn and thrive.

This year marked the final stage of Ecobank’s three-year “Transforming Africa Through Education” campaign. Since 2023, the initiative has helped thousands of children and young people build digital skills and has supported the installation of new IT laboratories in schools across several countries.

To conclude its 3-year campaign and also celebrate the 40th anniversary of Ecobank Group, the Ecobank Foundation set two key objectives, namely: Establishing 40 IT Labs and training 40,000 children and young people.

Both objectives were achieved and surpassed as a total of 66 IT Labs were donated and 46,914 children and young people trained.

What is Ecobank Day?

Since the inaugural Ecobank Day in 2013, Ecobank employees have supported a variety of causes and shown compassion for the welfare of our various local communities.

Led by the Ecobank Foundation, previous initiatives have focused on orphanages, tree planting, education, maternal healthcare, safe water supply, malaria prevention, financial literacy, and our three-year Together for Better Health campaign - addressing Non-Communicable Diseases such as cancer, diabetes and mental health disorders.

Our 2025 Ecobank Day

To open the programme, the Ecobank Foundation hosted a webinar in partnership with the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) on how technology can remove barriers to inclusive education. Experts shared practical insights on the role of innovation, AI, assistive technology and digital platforms in supporting learners with disabilities.

Across its network, Ecobank teams organised awareness sessions, demonstrations and workshops to help children explore how digital tools and AI can support their learning in inclusive and supportive environments.

Ecobank Day 2025 reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to expanding access to quality education across Africa and to ensuring that all children, whatever their circumstances, have the opportunity to learn with confidence and dignity.
